Oranjestad – The last weekend of Carnival exceeded all expectation as the San Nicolas parade featured 4,500 revelers in 20 colorful groups, leaving the staging area at 12:20 p.m., a bit delayed due to a surprise rain shower.
The tail of the parade arrived back at the stadium after 8 p.m. having delivered music, dance and excitement to the street of San Nicolas.
The Oranjestad parade on Sunday, was blessed by 5,500 dancers in amazing costumes, in 20 groups, commencing at 10 a.m. and culminating at 7:40 p.m.
Band of the Year, Youth Extreme received great praise for animating the crowds very well, followed by Dushi Band in the second place and OREO in third.
