Spectacular Art Show at the Aruba Wine, Food & Art Festival III

Palm Beach – A major collective art exhibit accompanied the III annual Wine, Food & Art Festival 2007. The exhibit featured prominent artists living and working in Aruba. Their art works in the Palm Beach ballroom of The Westin Aruba resort served as backdrop for the exceptional food & wine tastings, trade fairs, seminars and festive gatherings.

The show, a delight to all senses, was well received and a significant number of works was sold to locals and visitors. The exhibition remained open to the public on May 17th, 18th & 19th, and culminated with a live auction. The selection of first time festival exhibitors included the following artists: Eliza Lejuez | Elvis Lopez | Glenda Heyliger | Tep van den Heuvel | Mick Miller | Giovanni Zambrano | Ryan Oduber | Joannis Donati | Nancy Folkeringa Croes | Jess Wolf.

Repeat festival artists included Joseph Miklojcik | Belinda de Veer | Alida Martinez | Mo Mohamed | Irene Peterson | Marlene van Blarcum | Miriam Monasterios | Stan Kuiperi | Osaira Muyale | Greg Carvajhal | Vernando Vermeer | Adolfo Valbuena | Chris Wyld | Rosalien Klein.

The show was Curated by Gilbert Senchi Director of the Oranjestad Kunsthuis foundation. Gilbert studied international finance in Massachusetts and later Dutch law at the University of Aruba, he studied art history and is the co-founder of SINFA; director of the South End Art Foundation and founder of the Oranjestad Kunsthuis he is also a lifelong artist.
