Guided Tour by Artist of the Current exhibition at Access Art Gallery “The Wind Bigins In Aruba “By Lois Romei Schlowsky.

This Friday night (December 22) at 8:00 pm will be the perfect opportunity to get an in depth look at the current exhibition “ The Wind Begins In Aruba” By Lois Romei Schlowsky.

On this occasion the artist will be present in the gallery giving detailed explanation of her oeuvre.

This is the recently opened solo exhibition by a painter that has been visiting the island of Aruba for over twenty years and calling it home for the last five.

It is this long relationship and appreciation for this island that have become the main source of inspiration for this exhibition.

Lois Romei Schlowsky paints in her studio facing the West Punt she explores on canvas the beauty of the island , its culture, diversity, people, and customs, using the fabulous natural light found here.

She graduated with a Bachelors degree in fine arts in Painting and Printmaking from R.I.T. in 1974. She previously owned and operated with her husband (photographer) Bob Schlowsky , Schlowsky Studios, a Boston Based award winning digital photography and illustration studio.

Her commercial illustrations are represented by Getty Images and have been used worldwide for Fortune 500 corporate clients, including IBM, Hewlett Packard, American Express, Pfizer, Fidelity Investments, Titelist, Houghton Mifflin, Reebok, Citibank and Raytheon.

She has taught, written and lectured on the subject of illustration worldwide.

Her paintings are in private collections of people around the globe.

This exhibition is her first solo exhibition on the island of Aruba and this group of paintings on canvas and pictorial fabric quilts depicts her love for the island of Aruba.

Access Art Gallery y Access Annex are situated in the main shopping street in Oranjestad and this fantastic exhibit will be open untill the 9thh of January 2007
