PALM BEACH - Forget about June being the month for weddings; August is hotter than ever for brides and grooms saying their "I do's" at the Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino. Always an island leader for both destination and local weddings, the event and banqueting team of the Aruba Resort have made an art out of planning spectacular wedding events-from small and intimate to glitzy and glamorous. This month, more than a dozen couples have celebrated their nuptials at the resort.
One wedding held this week was that of Pamela Morgan and Robert Germony.
The couple came to the island with 12 family members and friends from the Pittsburg, PA area. A picturesque sunset ceremony was followed by a champagne toast on the beach. The wedding party then moved to the al fresco venue of Sirrocco Lounge, where an hors d' oeuvres spread that included fresh sushi was served. A two-piece steel pan band gave the reception that special Caribbean touch.
The Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino is one of only a few resorts on the island with a team dedicated exclusively to coordinating weddings, and assists couples in the planning of all aspects of their special day.
