A great effort in good spirits.
Polesitters still going.
Strong after two full days.
The six polesitters, who stepped onto their perches last Thursday morning, are still going strong. Michiel, Kimberley, Diana, Roel, Thijs and Bores are feeling okay: they are joking, talking, reading and enjoying the action around them. Especially the mechanical bull is great to watch. The six are trying to break the Aruban Polesitting record, which stands at 84 hours. Aruba's champion, Tito Laclé, joined the group for a 12-hour stint of polesitting. He is now off to see Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony in Curaçao.
Thursday evening at Café the Plaza saw an unbelievable crowd. Loads of people came to see the polesitters, the bull in action and the fabulous Tsunami band. Tsunami was absolutely wonderful..
The polesitters still have a long way to go. Please come down and cheer them on during Saturday, Kids' Day and Sunday, when there will be a fashion show by Aruba Model Search and a performance by the Popcorn Dancers. Proceeds of all fundraising activities will go to the Clown Doctors of Aruba.
