Intimate Crowed Enjoys Ceviche Festival On The Beach

Ceviche Festival On The BeachEagle beach -- Ceviche specialists Chef Scott McLeod & Sous Chef Francesco Martorella, from Philadelphia, joined forces with host chef Gerard Coste, head of the resort’s culinary brigade, to present a memorable evening, on the beach, starring fresh, light and trendy ceviche.

It was the second evening of the second annual Wine, Food & Art Festival, organized by the resort promoting local and international culinary talents.

The beautiful buffet featured traditional Red Snapper Ceviche with Roasted Beet, Marinated Sushi Grade Tuna with Coconut Ginger Sauce, Ecuadorian Shrimp Ceviche with Blackened Tomato and Avocado Dip, Caribbean Lobster with Orange Vanilla Sauce and Fresh Wahoo with Roasted Calabaza and Tuna Caviar Vinaigrette.

Ceviche Festival On The BeachA rich and varied salad bar escorted the Ceviche menu, accompanied by a dozen interesting condiments such as chimmichuri, guacamole and yucca chips.

Main course included Caribbean Lobster Tails with Pernod Sauce, Grilled US Prime Top Sirloin and Stuffed Free Range Chicken.

Grateful dinner guests applauded Chef Scott and Sous Chef Francesco at the end of the affair for their much-welcome efforts.

While the early evening’s program included a fabulous performance by Aruba’s Synchronized Swimming Club, the Barracudas, dance music was supplies by a terrific band from Venezuela, EA, mixing oldies with contemporary Latin hits. Musicians Tono, Luis, Efrain, Alejo and Gustavo, had barefoot dancers in the sand, having a great time. Romar Trading supplied more than 60 wine varieties for the event, uncorking many interesting bottles, enjoyed and appreciated by all party goers.
