It is so that on march 04, 2006 a new series started titled "Carlos Bislip's Jazz Expo"
The concert series has as its mission:
Gives an opportunity to the public that desires to see the Aruban musicians and artists present their music in an elegant and refined manner. Keep the musicians active in a scenario where their talent and musical expertise would be appreciated and dignified in an informal and relaxed ambience. By means of this (10 event) concert series, expose to the concert going audience of Aruba and visitors all the jazz artists residing in Aruba. Give to the young "Up and Coming" musicians who are developing themselves in the genre of jazz an opportunity to take part in this series together with the other artists.
Continue with the education and the awareness that Jazz, is not only a form of Entertainment but is also a very serious Art Form that takes years of discipline to master and to properly perform.
For the concert on April 07, 2006 will be featuring the following artists.
Delbert Bernabela (Sax),
Eduardo Maya (Trumpet),
Johnny Scharbaay (Piano),
Franklin Granadillo (Trumpet),
Johnny Croes (Piano),
Ivan Quandus (Bass).
The featured young "Up and Coming" musicians are
David Bernabela (bass) and Serghio Jansen (Electric Guitar).
