Yves Rocher now in Aruba - natural cosmetics for greener beauty

Hailing from La Gacilly in Brittany, cosmetic pioneer Yves Rocher started his business selling a natural anti-bleeding ointment via mail order. Since then, natural cosmetic products have been a mainstay of the company's offerings, available in more than eighty countries and now also in Aruba through their store at the Renaissance Mall.

Carnival 58 is over, but not without a grand parade finale!

Over 5000 participants in 15 groups took to the streets on a beautiful day for the final Grand Parade in Oranjestad. OPC group were the Roadpiece Champions, followed by TOB. Champagne's 'Taste of Russia' won Best Float. Los Laga Bai once again won the "most animated group".

Chef Thomas Boland spreads his wings at the Ostrich farm

If Thomas' last name rings a bell, its with good reason. His dad is celebrated chef Matt Boland of Sunset Grille fame and more recently as Executive Chef at the Westin Aruba. But enough about Matt, son Thomas is really making things fly at the ostrich farm, coming up with different takes on several dishes such as the traditional Dutch pea soup, served in a cactus bowl. Marriott Queen crowned for Carnival!

Embracing the spirit of Carnival, Marriott Aruba has just hosted their very own Carnival queen election. Ten participants from across the three different Aruba Marriott properties were judged on their 10 minute performance and a speech. Congratulations to "At your service" Queen Geraldine Geerman!
