It was a glamorous start to the 2012 Aruba In Style Fashion Week with an elegant reception for more than 40 International press members, models and 13 designers. Aruba In Style Fashion Week began with a Fashion Shopping Event which took place at the Renaissance Mall. This weekends Soiree included three days of exclusive runway shows featuring international designers such as Aqua di Lara, Poko Pano, Agua Bendita and Charlotte Ronson.

During the week of Oct 22-26 the sales team of the Aruba Marriott Resort celebrates Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW). As part of their (GCAW) week the focus has been on giving back to the local community. In efforts to support Fundacion pa Nos Comunidad a non-profit organization that helps the less fortunate in Aruba the resort organized a 5K fun walk starting at the Marriott Resort to Arashi Beach and back.

In Manchebo's continuous efforts to support the environment and the community of Aruba the old garbage containers were donated Imelda Kleuterschool. Due to renovations at the resort new garbage containers had been purchased and the old ones were no longer needed. Rather than dispose of them, they were re-purposed for Imelda Kleuterschool.
